FM Logistic announced that it has been awarded a contract by Henkel Beauty Care to manage inventories and distribution of its hair care products to about 150 retail stores, beauty and hair salons in São Paulo, Brazil. This new contract reinforces FM Logistic’s support to Henkel in Brazil, which started in 2021.
Under the agreement, FM Logistic will manage an inventory of more than 1,500 stock keeping units in its logistics centre in the city of São Paulo. Additionally, deliveries will be made using an electric vehicle.
Henkel aims to improve its logistics activities, both from an operational and environmental perspective. As part of this plan, Henkel Beauty Care and FM Logistic have also worked to replace plastic with kraft paper in their joint warehousing and transport operations, which resulted in a 94% drop in plastic use according to FM Logistics. In addition, FM Logistic has installed solar panels at its São Paulo logistics centre, claiming that this will reduce the site’s CO2 emissions by 10 tonnes annually.
