FM Logistic has announced the expansion of its pharmaceutical logistics facility at Błonie, near Warsaw, in Poland to increase its capacity to handle products from Polpharma, a large Polish manufacturer of pharmaceuticals that has been its customer since 2016. FM Logistic obtained Good Distribution Practice certification for operations at the Blonie facility in 2020.

According to the company, the expansion has added 7,800 sq m of warehousing space to support Polpharma’s exports as well as its domestic distribution.

Further to the expansion, the Błonie warehouse and distribution centre now offers 85,000 sq m of warehousing space, including 57,000 sq m of temperature-controlled space for pharmaceutical products. This makes it one of the largest distribution centres for the pharmaceutical sector in Central Europe as stated by FM.

“We serve close to 30 pharma manufacturers in Błonie and make daily deliveries of pharma products to about 900 recipients, such as hospitals, pharmacies and pharmaceutical wholesalers,” said Paweł Janicki, Senior Business Development Director, pharmaceutical sector, FM Logistic.

The warehouse in Błonie is now completed and fully occupied. Moving forward, FM Logistic is planning to serve new pharmaceutical clients from its logistics facility in Wiskitki, between Łódź and Warsaw.
