FIEGE has taken over World Fashion Logistics (WFL) to expand its contract logistics operations in Asia, with 100% of the shares in WFL. WFL operates a logistics site in Shanghai and provides logistics services in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia as well as Turkey for e-commerce, retail, fashion and luxury brands.
“The takeover of WFL further reinforces our operations in the Asian market – which is an important market for us – and lets us expand our expertise in textile quality inspection”, says Alfred Messink, member of the Executive Board of the FIEGE Group. “In future, we will be able to support our customers even more closely in such important markets as China and Southeast Asia as well as Turkey starting at the point of production, while raising the values along the supply chain. Also, we are very much looking forward to adding many new accounts from the e-commerce and luxury brand sector.”
The first contact with WFL took place as far back as 2015, Messink explains. Ever since, FIEGE observed the company very closely.
