Yusen Logistics has announced the opening of Narita Logistics Center No.2, a new warehouse located in Shibayama-machi, Sambu-gun, Chiba. The warehouse will open on September 1st, and in April 2023, operations will be launched at Narita Healthcare Terminal in the facility.
Narita Logistics Center No.2 is located around a 10-minute drive from Narita International Airport. There are various temperature zones, and emergency power supplies are installed as a measure against BCP. Yusen are planning to obtain AEO certification in the facility and also aim to obtain CLASS-A, the highest security standard certified by TAPA, for the safe management of customers’ cargo.
The opening of the new warehouse will signify the further expansion of Yusen’s pharmaceutical logistics operations, totalling 48 operation bases in 27 countries and regions around the world which will comply with the company’s global Good Distribution Practice standards. In Narita Healthcare Terminal, Yusen aims to handle packing in the latest passive containers and also to expand the scope of CEIV Pharma certification as to provide tailor-made logistics services with high global quality standards.
