Yang Ming to launch China – Vietnam- Cambodia direct service

Yang Ming has announced it will add a new 11,000 TEU container vessel to THE Alliance’s PS6 trans-Pacific service.

Yang Ming will launch a China-Vietnam-Cambodia (CVK) service, with effect from October 21, 2019. The port rotation of the CVK service will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh, Sihanoukville, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Ningbo.

This will be Yang Ming’s first service that directly links China’s ports Da Nang and Sihanoukville. Yang Ming will launch the service with the hope to take advantage of strong cargo volumes in the area of China, Vietnam and Cambodia. It also hopes that the CVK service will significantly shorten the transit time and offer a more efficient delivery service amongst these countries.

In addition to its current Intra-Asia service network of 45 services, the company said that it continues to strengthen its coverage in the area. Previously in May 2019, the company had announced that it would form a new subsidiary in Jakarta, Indonesia.
