Wincanton signs year-long contract with Stuffstr

Wincanton has signed a logistics contract with Stuffstr to provide warehouse space and fulfilment-operations for their recirculation retail business. The social enterprise, Stuffstr, is dedicated to reducing waste by allowing consumers to sell back no longer used items of clothing previously bought from that retailer itself.

Wincanton is providing flexible and tailored warehouse space at its Greenford shared user site to manage the collection and recirculation process. Returned items will be stored and Wincanton will use its fulfilment services to resell as many items as possible or recycle them responsibly.

Stuffstr aims to recirculate used clothing and footwear and prevent them from ending up on landfills. The partnership’s goal is to contribute to the re-commerce economy and minimise waste.

Wincanton’s return strategies are intended to enhance the expressed commitment to sustainability of both companies, with a focus on “scalable and customer-centric service”, as Paul Durkin, Director of Home and eFulfilment at Wincanton says.
