Waberer has put into service the first electric Renault truck in Hungary, which will be used for commercial freight transport tasks in the WSZL fleet. With this addition, WSZL will now be able to perform its city distribution tasks with 2 purely electric trucks.

The electric Renault D16, which has been placed on the market with a closed box body and a tail-lift, has an empty weight of 7.3 tonnes. It is powered by four 185 kW peak power motors, each supplied by 66kWh Z.E. lithium-ion batteries, through a two-speed gearbox.

Last year, the company added into its fleet its first LNG-powered vehicle – capable of transporting goods with up to 80.0% lower CO2 emissions.

Alongside this new addition, The Waberer’s Group has stated that its electric fleet is to expand further this year.
