ShipStation partners with Mercado Libre to offer merchants access to 600m Latin American buyers

Web-based e-commerce shipping solution, ShipStation, has announced it will partner with Latin America e-commerce and payments system Mercado Libre, offering merchants on the ShipStation platform new opportunities to scale international operations and sell and ship to customers in the region. 

Through this new partnership, there are hopes that U.S. merchants will gain access to 600m Latin American buyers through Mercado Libre, also by using its e-commerce and payment tools, such as a centralised seller account, simplified end-to-end shipping solutions, and the ability to finance in instalments by MELI.

Currently, Mercado Libre claims to be the largest online commerce and payments ecosystem in Latin America, and the fourth largest marketplace in the world by visits per month, as well as in Latin America, with presence in 18 countries across the region, including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, and Peru.
