SEGRO has signed a lease with XPO Logistics, a global player in logistics services. As of March, the logistics service provider will take approximately 19,000 sq m into use at SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport in Hoofddorp.

XPO Logistics moves into Tufsteen 2 and 3, two warehouses of almost 19,000 m sq in total. The building is BREEAM Excellent certified. The warehouses are near Schiphol and has direct connections to the A4 / A5 motorways, rail and public transport.

XPO Logistics already leases at several locations in the European SEGRO network. The growth of XPO’s services in the Netherlands led to the need to expand in the Schiphol area in the short term. Partly thanks to the good cooperation between XPO and SEGRO in other countries, the match at SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport in Hoofddorp came about quickly.

SEGRO is currently working on development plans for the second phase of SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport.

Bert van der Sterren, Financial Director XPO Logistics said, “in order to further develop and innovate our business, we need the right locations. Based on the existing collaboration, SEGRO was able to advise and facilitate us with a very fast and appropriate solution. SEGRO Park Amsterdam Airport offers us what we need at the moment, considering size, location and flexibility in the use of the building. The commissioning of this new warehouse helps us to continue to facilitate our customers with their developments and capacity issues.”
