Rhenus strengthens its partnership with MTA Group

Even though some of the regulations have now been adopted, controversy and opposition remain around the Mobility Package, such as insufficient infrastructure and environmental concerns.

For several years, Rhenus Overland Transport has developed a  partnership with the MTA Group, a French transport company specialised in road freight pallet shipments all over France.

Rhenus Overland Transport brought  capital consistency to the relationship by taking a five percent stake in MTA’s capital.

The MTA Group is a family company that has just celebrated its 50th anniversary. It specialises in the distribution of industrial freight on pallets thanks to a large network of agencies spread throughout the country.

MTA is a network of 26 own agencies, 450 trucks, 200 trailers, more than 800 employees and more than one million deliveries made each year.

“We have decided to consolidate our partnership with the Rhenus Group because we are two family businesses sharing common values and Rhenus provides ideal solutions for the development of our international activities,” said Eric and Jean-Marc Tison, MTA President and Managing Director.

“With this agreement, we want to optimise our domestic network and bring more solutions to our customers,” said Thomas Leclercq, Managing Director Rhenus Freight Logistics France, adding: “I am happy to strengthen our relationship because our common values are our strength for the future. We believe that corporate social responsibility is not just something forced, but something that is part of our being and we want to take serious action in pursuit of this goal.”

The partnership between Rhenus Overland Transport and the MTA Group is a way to strengthen the joint know-how in ADR, chemicals, special packaging solutions and the digital transformation of both companies’ business.
