Poste Italiane has started offering a new range of e-commerce solutions, Poste Delivery Now, developed in collaboration with Milkman. The company hopes to make it easier to receive the products purchased online on the e-commerce sites that have activated this service. Currently, the service is available in Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Bergamo, Brescia, Florence, Genoa, Naples, Padua, Monza, Verona and Varese.
Poste Delivery Now services can be used by merchants for products shipped with Poste Delivery Business services. After completing the purchase, e-shoppers can choose one of the available delivery options. They will then receive notification via text message or e-mail with the expected delivery date and time slot. Deliveries can be scheduled by choosing the day and the time slot, including in the evening or on a Saturday, directly on the site on which the purchase is made. The Same Day Delivery option gives the possibility to receive the product ordered online on the day of purchase, within an evening window between 7.00 pm and 11.00 pm.
Customers can check the status of the order and the expected delivery date, choose the day and time of the delivery, change the delivery address, reschedule the appointment up to five minutes before delivery, check the photographic proof of delivery and review the delivery experience.
Poste Italiane has been focusing on creating more and more e-commerce logistics services. These include the range of Poste Delivery Business shipping services to send goods and documents in Italy and abroad; Scegli Tu which offers the recipient the ability to customise and redirect the delivery; Reverse Paperless which simplifies returns by avoiding the printing of the waybill, and the Instant Delivery service which provides deliveries within 90 minutes.
