MSC has launched an online quotation tool called ‘Instant Quote’ which offers shippers the capability to get instant quotes. It is available online, accessible 24/7 via myMSC, its official e-business solution, from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
MSC stated this move to be a recognition of the importance of digitalisation across the shipping industry.
MSC’s Instant Quote complements its already existing set of e-business tools from where customers were able to place and manage their bookings, check vessel schedules, track shipments, access documents and get notifications.
Through this platform MSC provides rates for ocean shipping and end-to-end solutions, where customers can manage all their quotes from their myMSC dashboard and easily progress to booking once they are ready.
Services
Instant Quote is currently only available for Asia to Europe and North America to Europe trades. More trades are aimed to be added throughout the year.
