Minute Pharma and Phacil reinforce their partnership in South-East France

GeoPost acquires Aramex

Minute Pharma, a subsidiary of Le Groupe La Poste, is the French logistics provider for the same-day delivery of pharmaceutical products directly from pharmacies to patients in their homes or in care homes, and Phacil, a digital pharmacy solution in France, have reinforced their partnership, by adding 50 new pharmacies to their home-delivery service in south-eastern France. It aims to improve and automate the entire health-care process by providing a wide range of e-pharma services.

For the past 2 years, Minute Pharma and Phacil have reportedly been working together to deliver medicines to homes in the Paris region. Drawing on their expertise, and in response to growing market demand, Minute Pharma and Phacil have decided to extend the geographical scope of their partnership to deliver medicines directly to homes from around fifty new pharmacies in south-eastern France, all located between Nice and Marseille.

Phacil will also be involved in marketing the Minute Pharma lockers used for its click & collect service in pharmacies, thus accelerating the deployment of the system around the country, according to DPDgroup.

“Today, 60% of French people would like to have their medicines delivered. However, only 3% of pharmacies offer this solution. To address this problem and offer the best possible service to patients and our partner pharmacies, we established a partnership with Minute Pharma, two years ago. We are delighted with this partnership, and today we are extremely proud to be strengthening our ties with Minute Pharma, especially as we have some very exciting projects in the pipeline”, said Alexandre Deniau, CEO of Phacil

The development outlook is said to be extremely promising, since a new wave of deployment is planned before the end of 2021, with the opening of the service to an additional fifty pharmacies in south-west France.

In the long term, the home-delivery service offered by Phacil and Minute Pharma could even be extended internationally. In fact, discussions are currently underway concerning the launch of the service in Barcelona (Spain), where Phacil is already established.

“The health crisis has really accelerated the digitisation of pharmacies. It has created new needs and expectations, which we are pleased to able to meet today, in partnership with Phacil. Together, we are taking things to the next level in order to offer our services to as many people as possible, and thereby contribute to the transformation of the sector”, said Samy Layouni, Managing Director of Minute Pharma.
