Menzies distribution have opened a new supply chain facility in Elgin, UK. The 10,375 sq ft building, sitting on a one-acre site, will service parcels, pallets, and full loads daily for business-to-business and business-to-consumer customers.
Menzies states that the new centre has been built around environmental sustainability, with the facility being powered entirely by clean and renewable energy sources. The company also plans to support an expansion of their electric vehicle fleet with the new facility, with the site being outfitted with electric vehicle charging points.
“This latest investment is not only bringing new jobs to Elgin but will also support the growth and momentum we are seeing across the sectors we serve from news, retail and e-commerce, to packaging, healthcare, field engineering and food”, commented Stephen Mooney, Parcels Operations Director, at Menzies.
