Mainfreight has opened a food grade and dangerous goods certified 3PL warehouse, in the suburb of Prestons, Sydney. The official opening date of the Mainfreight Kookaburra site is March 25,2019.

The warehouse is HACCP certified and features a 13,000 sq m food grade warehouse, a 13,000 sq m dangerous and hazardous goods warehouse, and a 2,000 sq m mezzanine. It also has 900 sq m reserved for offices.

Mainfreight consolidated two of its existing Sydney warehouses, Mainfreight Logistics Erskine Park and Mainfreight Logistics Moorebank into the new Kookaburra site. The site is located off the M7 and offers access to motorways and main roads. It is also located close to Mainfreight’s transport and logistics supersite in Prestons. According to Mainfreight, the proximity between the two sites has helped strengthen its warehousing operations in Sidney by minimising handling and reducing lead times within its network.
