Lufthansa Cargo has announced a new service enabling private customers to send goods internationally by air. As part of the service, Lufthansa’s logistics subsidiary organise transport from door to door and handle customs formalities.
Peter Gerber, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, said, “We are excited that private clients can now benefit directly from our many years of air cargo experience. By doing so, we are occupying an innovative niche in the market between postal services and forwarders.”
The “myAirCargo” service is available between many European countries and the US. In coming months, Lufthansa Cargo plans to extend the offer to other countries.
