Kuehne+Nagel has entered into a multi-year partnership with Laboratoires Expanscience, a distinguished French pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetics laboratory, renowned for its skincare brand Mustela. With a heritage dating back to 1950, Mustela has been synonymous with providing skincare solutions derived from natural ingredients, catering to individuals from infancy to adulthood.
Under this agreement, Kuehne+Nagel will undertake the management of storage, picking, and distribution operations for Mustela’s cosmetics line. Notably, these products are characterized by their extensive variety and compact packaging. Operating from its strategically located distribution center in Siziano (PV), Northern Italy, Kuehne+Nagel is equipped to meet the unique demands of the cosmetics and healthcare industries. Its services encompass single-part picking, rigorous quality checks for both incoming and outgoing shipments, labeling, packaging, and repackaging.
Functioning from its advanced facility, Kuehne+Nagel will oversee the domestic distribution network, serving Mustela’s diverse range of retail outlets, drug stores, pharmacies, and baby stores. Leveraging its proprietary Warehouse Management System, Kuehne+Nagel aims to optimize operational efficiency and effectively address Mustela’s logistical complexities, such as seasonal demand fluctuations, evolving market trends, and product shelf-life considerations.
