Kuehne+Nagel, a global logistics firm, has expanded its facility at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) by adding a standalone, GxP-compliant, temperature-controlled area spanning 4,500 sq ft, alongside an extra 10,000 sq ft of warehouse space. This extension of their existing 78,763 sq ft warehouse includes upgraded office facilities and enhanced capabilities.

The newly added temperature-controlled area consists of two distinct sections to cater to various climate requirements ranging from +2°C to +25°C, specially designed for healthcare and perishable operations. The facility complies with GDP and IATA CEIV standards as part of Kuehne+Nagel’s HealthChain certification.

Greg Martin, Senior Vice President of Air Logistics at Kuehne+Nagel in North America, commented, “We are delighted to offer expanded and improved capabilities at JFK, a prime hub for international flights. This exceptional facility underscores our commitment to providing top-notch services to our customers in healthcare, aerospace, semiconductors, perishables, and beyond, ensuring quality assurance from a trusted partner.”

Situated near JFK airport, this bonded container freight station (CFS) site boasts 24/7 accessibility, 20 loading and unloading gates, and compliance with GDP and C-TPAT regulations. It features upgraded 24/7 CCTV surveillance for heightened security and offers improved unit load device (ULD) capabilities, reducing touch points and ensuring cargo integrity maintenance. Additionally, the site holds certifications such as Kuehne+Nagel’s EngineChain certification, as well as tailored solutions for battery and finished vehicle logistics.
