Imperial Logistics to open new dangerous goods warehouse in Münster

Imperial Logistics International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Imperial Holdings Limited, is beginning operations at a new 9,000 sq m dangerous goods warehouse in Hansa-BusinessPark, Münster, Germany. The new warehouse will be situated close to the A1/A43 motorways and provide enough warehousing and office space to allow their two older warehousing sites, located at Münster port, to close.

Compared to the previous sites, the new warehouse in Amelsbüren will increase storage capacity by several thousand to approximately 17,000 pallets. Its design will allow the following storage classes; 2B, 3, 4.1B, 4.2, 5.1A+B, 6.1A-D, 8A+B, 10-13 – according to TRGS 510 (Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances); and goods in water hazard classes (WGK) 1 – 3 will be permissible. In addition to increased storage capacity, the new warehouse will expand Imperial’s offering to customers in the chemical production and trade sectors with services such as labelling, repackaging, temperature controls, and the construction of displays.

The new site will also feature an advanced safety system. This will include a fire alarm with smoke detectors, an automatic sprinkler system, a permanent change of air, and a liquid-resistant floor. In addition, an IT-operated management system will ensure compliance with regulations governing what cannot be stored together.
