Horoz Bolloré Logistics starts green logistics deliveries in Turkey

Horoz Bolloré Logistics has announced the launch of green logistics deliveries for its national distributions and starts with points of sale and warehouses in Istanbul, Turkey, using a hybrid van.

The company selected the Ford Hybrid Transit Cargo van with 2.0 litre Ford EcoBlue, 185 PS horsepower diesel engine and Euro 6.2 emission standards for its greener logistics and supply chain solutions in Turkey. While replacing the previous model, the new van has the potential to lower CO2 emissions by 20% to 30%; with 0.74 g per km CO2, the vehicle’s emissions fall below European emissions standards.

“We all must be proud and happy to make even a tiny contribution for a greener environment in which our descendants will live in the future. We believe that all the stakeholders in the logistics industry must have the sense of responsibility for nature which we mishandled so far. And now it’s time for reimbursement. We call all the actors to support environmental sustainability. No matter how big or small their contributions are but at least they must try before it is too late,” said Hakan Yaman, General Manager of Horoz Bolloré Logistics Turkey.

Soon, Horoz Bolloré Logistics will increase the number of hybrid vans and enlarge the coverage of green logistics services within the country. This investment marks the first step and contributes to the gradual decarbonisation of the transport and logistics sector.

Through its CSR Program “Powering Sustainable Logistics”, Bolloré Logistics is committed to providing sustainable supply chain solutions for its customers.
