Fighting an epidemic with technology : Sinotrans auto pilot truck at the epidemic front line

Sinotrans has received the AEO certificate issued by Beijing Customs, which is considered to enhance the company’s competitiveness.

In China, the epidemic has recently been at a critical stage. In order to slow the spread of the epidemic, hotspots are in lockdown, thus road transportation capacity seriously declined.  In response, Sinotrans launched auto pilot logistics “lifeline” in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, with Cyantron Logistics Technology. This aims to improve production and supply stability.

Cyantron Logistics Technology is a smart logistics platform jointly built by Sinotrans and the auto pilot technology company Pony.ai. Cyantron provides pilot services with lower-cost for Sinotrans for the purpose of anti-epidemic goods transportation.

Faced with the severe and complex situation of epidemic prevention and control, Sinotrans and Cyantron conducted expedited auto pilot route survey and launched end-to-end auto pilot distribution. In the process of distribution, the auto pilot service aims to safely handle the complex weather and night time, effectively improving the supporting capacity for supply chain during the epidemic, reduce the gathering and flow of people, and cut down the risk of further spread of epidemic. So far, auto pilot trucks have completed more than 1500km of transportation mileage in lockdown areas.
