DSV expands presence in Iran

DSV is the latest major logistics provider to advance its presence in Iran by partnering with Iranian agent Seven Seas.

DSV has now expanded its representation to three new ports north of Tehran and beyond the Caspian Sea: Anzali, Noashar and Amir Abad.

DSV’s Business Development Manager, Anne Henriksen, commented: “With the ports of Anzali, Noashar and Amir Abad, we are stronger in the northern part of Tehran and can offer new solutions – especially within ‘cross-trade’ between Iran and Russia and CIS countries via the Caspian Sea.”

The collaboration will offer air, sea and road forwarding services to and from Iran.

Seven Seas is a family-owned company which was founded in 1990. Its main office is located in Tehran, but it has offices near all ports, from Chabahar in the south to Khoramshah in the north.

According to DSV, after UN sanctions were lifted in January 2016, Iran’s exports doubled in a year to around €13.7bn.
