DSV acquires S&H to further boost e-commerce business

DSV A/S has acquired 100% of S&H’s shares in an attempt to develop its multi-channel fulfilment capabilities. Based in the Netherlands, S&H employs approximately 120 people and provides multi-channel fulfilment in Europe offering a range of services.

With the acquisition, Hans Elshout has stepped down as CEO, but will continue to work for DSV in an advisory capacity. Peter van der Maas, EVP of the DSV Solutions division, has assumed the position as Managing Director in his place. S&H will continue as a stand-alone company under the name of DSV Multi-channel Fulfilment.

With the addition of S&H, DSV is attempting to offer customers a wider range of services within the fields of both B2B and B2C multi-channel fulfilment. The additional services include e-fulfilment, financial fulfilment, merchandise logistics for current (retail) customers, IT system and web support and a call centre.

“We have been on the lookout for a suitable add-on acquisition to boost our capabilities within e-commerce, specifically multi-channel fulfilment. S&H is a great fit for DSV,” said CEO of the DSV Solutions division, Brian Ejsing.
