DHL Supply Chain USA has begun construction on a new state-of-the-art warehousing facility in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, which will help optimise logistics in the north east region for a leading life sciences and pharmaceutical company.
DHL Supply Chain’s $88m investment includes the construction of two facilities. The first building, a 970,000 sq ft manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution facility, is expected to be operational by the end of Q1 in 2022 and will create at least 200 jobs.
DHL claims to be the largest third-party logistics provider for the life sciences in the U.S., with more than 35 dedicated life sciences facilities in the country, and more than 50 life sciences and healthcare customers.
DHL credits their Supply Chain’s Real Estate Solutions team for the plans in Lebanon Valley. The team has made transactions of more than 9m sq ft across the US since 2020.
