DACHSER Sweden is set to establish its presence in a modern facility in Jönköping. Boasting 1,600 sq m of office space, a 10,000 sq m warehouse, and a 6,200 sq m cross-dock terminal equipped with 70 gates, this new branch stands as the largest in DACHSER’s Nordic portfolio.

Since its inception in 2005, DACHSER Sweden has enjoyed consistent growth, prompting the move to this expansive facility, scheduled for 2024. Carl-Johan Westas, Branch Manager of the Jönköping branch and Country Manager DACHSER Sweden European Logistics, emphasizes the strategic investment in anticipation of future opportunities in Sweden.

Previously situated in rented premises on the outskirts of Jönköping since 2017, the move is necessitated by the branch’s sustained growth in shipments and personnel. The new location’s central positioning between Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö, along with its efficient transport connections, aligns with DACHSER’s commitment to streamlined logistics and reduced CO2 emissions.

Recognized as the third-best logistics location in Sweden in 2023, the Jönköping region provides an ideal backdrop for DACHSER’s expansion. The 10,000 sq m warehouse, featuring a 12 m ceiling height, will function as a pivotal hub for DACHSER’s contract logistics within the Nordic network. This move not only doubles the existing warehouse’s pallet spaces from 5,800 to 11,000 but also integrates it with the cross-dock terminal, a strategic step toward enhancing operational efficiency. Fredrik Rånge, Contract Logistics Manager at the Jönköping branch, underscores the significance of this expansion in optimizing their processes.
