Dachser has expanded its footprint in South America with the opening of a new sales office in the Mendoza wine region of Argentina. The new location situates Dachser in close proximity to customers in the region and aims to strengthen its “vineyard-to-shelf” supply chain capabilities.
“With Mendoza establishing itself as the largest wine-producing area in Latin America, we felt building a presence in this region was a logical next step for Dachser, given our level of expertise on the challenges and opportunities associated with transporting wine,” said Guido Gries, Managing Director, Dachser Air & Sea Logistics Americas.
Dachser’s Mendoza office will have the ability to locally address the growing demand for Argentinian wine. Dachser will provide Mendoza’s wine producers with supply chain capabilities. Ranging from simple warehousing, to air freight and regular full container loads, multi-shipment consolidation, temperature-controlled containers, an innovative film for lining sea containers to protect the goods from temperature fluctuations and also flexitanks.
