Correos and Amazon sign a three-year collaboration agreement

Correos and Amazon have signed a three-year agreement which should provide Amazon’s customers in Spain with an even faster and more reliable parcel service. However, further details about how this will be achieved have not been made public.

This agreement is the result of the continuous collaboration between Amazon and Correos in recent years.

The Correos network is comprised of 2,400 post offices and 5,000 CityPaq. The company employs over 30,000 postmen.

Correos aims to become the main logistics operator for the e-commerce sector in Spain and sees the agreement with Amazon as a significant step towards achieving this goal. The company also undertakes different initiatives to handle the constant growth of the volume of packages more efficiently. In the 2018 Christmas season, Correos saw record volumes, with more than 24m shipments distributed in Spain in November and December.
