CEVA Logistics chooses Kontainers’ e-tool to manage ocean freight shipments online

Kontainers, an e-commerce software provider for freight brands, has announced that it has signed a multi-year contract with CEVA Logistics, acquired this year by CMA CGM. The forwarder will implement a customer facing e-commerce portal by using Kontainers’ Enterprise software.

The software is designed for large freight forwarders with heavy transactional volumes and in need of highly customised interfaces. It provides a complete digital experience across twelve modules: instant rates, booking, customs, trucking, FCL/LCL, global schedules, bill of lading, chat support, dashboard analytics, payment system and a full back office application.

According to Kontainers, CEVA’s use of the software will provide its ocean freight customers with access to self-service freight transaction e-tools. CEVA’s customers will be able to manage shipments online on any internet-enabled device 24/7, all year round.

Kontainers said: “More than 25% of the major forwarders now use Kontainers as their primary e-commerce solution. There is an accelerated need for freight forwarders’ e-commerce capabilities to address customer demand and to digitally engage and transact with business partners online. Kontainers’ software will power more than one million bookings in 2020.”

The software provider hopes that its modern architecture, featuring over 50 application programming interfaces, will enable CEVA to accelerate its digital journey quickly and improve its customers’ experience as digital shopfronts become an industry standard.
