As part of the trade agreement between Uruguay and Colombia formalized by the Economic Complementation Agreement N° 72, Bolloré Logistics Uruguay and Bolloré Logistics Colombia have joined forces to offer their customers an efficient and more economical solution focused on the INTRALATAM route.

This initiative is based on an alliance between the offices in Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil that will allow customers to rely on the same logistics agent, benefit from more effective communication as well as better prices and an optimized service.

Today, trade between Colombia and Uruguay is abundant and represents an opportunity for growth and development for the offices involved. According to The Observatory of Economic Complexity (OEC), shipments to Colombia totaled $96m in 2022, which is higher than the $73.4m invoiced in 2021.

In 2021, the main products that Uruguay sold to Colombia were perfumery and cosmetics, food preparations, and frozen fish. Colombia, on the other hand, mainly sold pharmaceuticals, plastics and mineral fuels. Furthermore, the sale of beef to Colombia reported a turnover of $1.36m and represented 1.85% of placements to that country in 2021.

Bolloré Logistics is a key economic player in Uruguay. The company has been present in the country for 20 years, focusing on the automotive, aerospace, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors. In turn, Bolloré Logistics Colombia has been operating in the country since 2012 having developed its expertise in the same areas capitalizing on its market knowledge and local constraints.

Thanks to our extensive experience and solid network, we are able to provide our customers with dedicated services as well as efficient and cost-effective solutions. The alliance formed by our main offices in Latam will help facilitate the communication and coordination between the two countries and offer a better visibility into end-to-end transport operations.” said Mauricio Dinitto, Inside Sales at Bolloré Logistics Uruguay.
