The Bolloré Group announced sale of 100% of Bolloré Africa Logistics to the MSC Group after having obtained the regulatory and competition approvals that conditioned the completion of the operation. The sale concerns all the Bolloré Group’s transport and logistics activities in Africa.
The transaction is agreed based on €5.7bn enterprise value, net of minority interests. The sale price of the shares is €5.1bn; €600m of shareholder loans were also repaid. The deal was announced on March 21 and December 22, 2022.
Bolloré Logistics pursues its ambition to be recognized as a leader in international logistics to Africa, providing advice and supporting the international development of small and medium-sized businesses and large groups in the overall management of their flows to this continent. It will remain strongly involved in Africa, notably through Canal+, and will also continue to develop on this continent its activities in many fields such as communications, entertainment, telecommunications, and publishing.
