DHL Supply Chain Announces New CEO for North America

DHL recently expanded its vast network of U.S. retail locations by introducing a new company owned and operated retail shipping store in Fairfax, Virginia.
The new building is entirely powered by renewable electricity and is the first operationally carbon neutral new build DHL site in the UK.
New contract builds on existing partnership with easyJet at London Gatwick, Bristol and Manchester airports, and the ground-handling contract for Bristol and Manchester airports renewed until 2029.
The new 25,000 sq ft facility connects to the global DHL network through its daily dedicated 737 flight between Richmond International Airport and DHL’s global hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), in addition to trucking service to and from the DHL JFK Gateway.
The appointment sees DHL Supply Chain partner with SBF GB&I as its sole supply chain delivery and warehouse supplier. Following its appointment, DHL has created over 310 jobs at its site in Worksop. DHL will be supporting SBF GB&I in delivering its Growing for Good company value, by improving efficiency across its supply chain, while focusing on sustainability.
DHL Supply Chain currently has 35 warehouse facilities dedicated to serving their life sciences customers. With the investment they will grow their network to 40 sites by the end of the year.

The $19m investment increases capacity and speeds delivery service to New Jersey metropolitan areas. The facility manages time-definite international shipments to and from the 220 countries and territories covered by DHL Express. With 90 workers supporting the local operation, the facility is well-equipped to handle the growing volume of shipments efficiently and effectively.
DHL Express will be the first international express package carrier to implement mobile charging carts at select U.S. airport facilities, which will reduce carbon emissions (C02) by nearly 800 tons per year.
DHL commits to a 10-year deal with Stream BioEnergy in its biomethane production facility and enables creation of 130 jobs and supporting an annual carbon reduction of 15,000 tonnes.
