DACHSER Expands Presence in Denmark

DACHSER, a logistics service provider, is expanding its presence in Denmark by venturing into the North Jutland region. The upcoming branch in the Port of Aalborg business park, set to open in the first half of 2024, will serve as a pivotal hub for connections within the Nordic groupage network.

Establishing a branch in North Jutland signifies DACHSER’s commitment to fortifying its position in Denmark’s market. This extension aligns with the expansion of both Danish and Nordic networks, enhancing connectivity with regions like Gothenburg and the broader Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish areas. Positioned in the logistics hub of Aalborg East in northern Denmark, the branch enjoys easy access to the E45 highway.

Peter Hut, Country Manager Road Logistics at DACHSER Denmark, anticipates providing logistics services to local clients while reinforcing the Nordic network from the strategic location within the Port of Aalborg’s commercial zone. The network expansion represents a significant investment, enriching connections within Denmark and the Nordic region and establishing proximity to existing and future regional customers.

The new facility spans 2,046 sq m, housing a transhipment hall with six gates and 471 sq m dedicated to office space. Customers in North Jutland benefit from multiple daily departures from the Kolding branch, approximately 200 km away, to Aalborg. From there, goods are efficiently distributed across the region in collaboration with local transport partners.
