CEVA Logistics opens Chill Hub in London

CEVA Logistics has presented its new, integrated cold chain facility, “Chill Hub”, to its customers at DP World London Gateway. A multi-temperature 10,000 sq m facility featuring seven independent chambers operating at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +16°C, is advertised to accommodate chilled and frozen items, as well as goods requiring temperature specific handling and storage, such as pharmaceuticals, fresh and frozen food, beverage products, and flowers.

A range of value-added services including labelling, boxing, re-palletising, price coding, tagging and kitting are available services that CEVA is offering at the Chill Hub.

Its strategic location at London Gateway, CEVA promises, is an important hub to provide maximum customer benefit through ability to manage all elements of the process at one site. Linking to 110 ports in 60 countries and dockside proximity to warehouses has potential to reduce shunting up to two hours.

CEVA hopes to offer faster delivery of goods through an energy-efficient building, allowing visibility and control of inbound operations to its customers.
