Rhenus opens logistics centre in Lithuania

Rhenus has opened a new 12,000 sq m logistics facility in Vilnius, Lithuania.

In addition, another 2,000 sq m have been allocated for office premises.

Arūnas Bertašius, Managing Director of Rhenus Svoris, commented: “For us, Lithuania is a tiger economy. The expansion of the Rhenus Group activities opens the way into international markets for the national economy and will strengthen the logistics location of Lithuania.

“We have felt the need for additional space for a long time. The decision to build a new logistics centre was made in order to optimize the management of warehouses and reduce operating costs. Capacities of the company’s warehouses located at different locations were moved into one modern and automated centre. This will enable us to plan our activities more efficiently as well as to reduce management costs and implement our set strategic plans.”
