Palletways Group has opened a new regional and international hub in southern Germany. The inaugurated facility in Neufahrn, near Munich, is the second Palletways hub in Germany and follows the opening of the Knüllwald-Remsfeld hub in Hessen and the establishment of a regional hub for the Rhine-Ruhr area in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Neufahrn’s new hub will also handle international shipments and will speed up general traffic to southern Germany.
Dealers in neighbouring Austria, Italy and Spain could benefit from a more direct connection, with transit times that, according to forecasts, will be reduced by an average of one day.
Albino Quaglia, Chairman of Palletways Italia said, “This investment is important because it adds additional capacity to the Network by introducing a direct link between two geographic areas where the interchange of goods is particularly relevant. This new opening throws the foundation for further growth as our network continues to expand across Europe. “
