Kuehne + Nagel China has won a four-year warehousing and distribution contract from the toy and baby products retailer Toys“R”Us.
Kuehne + Nagel will be responsible for the retailer’s North China logistics operations from Beijing. A new warehouse will consolidate products from both local and overseas suppliers then distribute to 45 stores across the region. Each year, almost 500,000 products will be handled by the site.
Additional services provided include inventory control, fulfilment, and management of returns. All activities from the company’s previous distribution centre in Tianjin were transferred to the new warehouse.
Kuehne + Nagel has worked with Toys“R”Us since 2015, previously managing distribution in East, West and South China. With this new contract in North China, Kuehne + Nagel is now responsible for national distribution for all of the retailer’s 130 stores across China.
