About Girteka Logistics

Girteka Logistics is Europe's biggest asset-based transport company based in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is a privately held company engaged in cross country transportation, FTL (full truck load), warehousing and third-party logistics (3PL) services. The company offers road transportation in the EU, Scandinavia and to and from Russia/CIS. Its major markets in Europe are Germany, France, Benelux, Spain, Italy and the UK.

Girteka has grown significantly since its establishment and currently owns 9,000 trucks and 9,800 trailers.

Founded in 1996 with one truck and three employees, Girteka Logistics now employs more than 21,000 people. Most recently, in February 2022, the logistics provider announced that in order to deal with the latest changes to EU Mobility Package, it will have to increase prices and hire more drivers. In addition to this, it will also open a base in western Poland so as to better serve its customers in Western Europe.

Girteka Logistics has its transport bases in Lithuania (Vilnius, Šiauliai), Poland (Poznan) and Russia (Smolensk).

It generated a turnover of €1.93bn in 2022, while profit before tax grew 114% to €166.5m.
