About Arcese

Arcese was established in 1966 as a family run company. It has grown organically and through acquisitions to become one of Italy's largest transport and logistics companies.

One of its most significant acquisitions was that of Ventana, formerly owned by FIAT, which helped the company to cement its partnership with the automotive manufacturer. Ventana Serra as it is now called, now forms Arcese’s freight forwarding and intermodal arm.

In 2023, Arcese Holdings is estimated to have had an overall revenue of €920m split between its logistics arm Arcese Trasporti, freight forwarding arm Ventana Serra, and its investment and property business.

Based on 2022 data, the latest business segment data available, the company's most important activity is road freight and contract logistics, which accounted for nearly half of total revenues (49.8%). Freight forwarding is also important, accounting for approximately a quarter of revenues. Finally, it has an investment and banking arm that works in its property and financial markets.

Geographically speaking, its road freight and contract logistics activities take place in Italy and regionally across Europe, where it operates a network of its own offices. It also makes use of a number of commercial partners in countries where it doesn't have its own offices to broaden its European network. The company also operates outside Europe, offering freight forwarding services through its subsidiary Ventana Serra, which has offices in North America, South America, Europe and Asia Pacific. It too has a number of commercial partners which extends its reach further, to the likes of Africa and the Middle East.
