TNT strengthens service to Nordic markets


TNT announced plans to strengthen its international express delivery services to the Nordics with improved air connections to Sweden and Finland and additional last-mile delivery capacity in large business centres.

The changes, which went into effect in August and early September, are expected to see TNT expand the company’s coverage of its international morning delivery services in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. TNT has stated that with these changes the company can expect to serve 15% more post codes and 34% more businesses in the region by noon the next business day.

TNT also announced it had added or improved pre-midday delivery coverage in cities such as Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö in Sweden, Aarhus and Aalborg in Denmark, Oslo and Stavanger in Norway, and Helsinki in Finland.

Ian Clough, Managing Director TNT International Europe said, “We have expanded the number of locations for our international, next-day morning deliveries in the Nordics to help our customers who need speed and certainty. These latest improvements are part of TNT’s Outlook strategy to strengthen our position in Europe.”

TNT also announced that as of 7th September, the company has reintroduced flights from Liege, Belgium to Stockholm, Sweden and the daily freighter service from Liege to Turku, Finland will now make one stop in Helsinki, Finland.
