Amazon has announced the launch of the Selling on Amazon and Fulfilment by Amazon offerings in Mexico. The services are designed to allow businesses of all sizes to list their products on Amazon’s website. Amazon states that in 2014 more than 2bn items were on through these platforms and that more than 40% of Amazon’s total unit sales come from third-party selection.
The service allows sellers on Amazon to have Amazon handle customer service, shipping, and fulfilment, control product selection and pricing, manage the business and inventory from a single Amazon seller account, customize shipping rates and use Amazon’s secure payment system.
In addition, Amazon is launching its Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) programme for sellers in Mexico. With the programme, sellers utilize Amazon storage and shipping resources to send their products to customers.
