ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd has announced a program to change its organizational structure. Company’s management said that the aim of the program is to build a lean and agile enterprise, attentive to the needs of customers and market trends.
According to the announcement, the changes are planned to strengthen the three major business units consisting of the Pacific Unit – the trade between Asia and North & Central America, the Intra-Asia Unit – trade within Asia and finally, Cross Suez – Atlantic Unit – the trade between Asia and the Mediterranean Sea, intra-European trade (including Israel ) and the trade between the Mediterranean Sea and the Americas .
The Business Units are expected to be headed by company Vice Presidents, who will report directly to ZIM’s President and CEO, Mr. Rafi Danieli. Nissim Yochai, now managing Global Sales, is to be appointed Vice President of the Pacific Unit; Danny Hoffman, now Managing Asia-Pacific Area, is to be appointed Vice President of the Intra-Asia Unit and Rani Ben-Yehuda, now managing Israel and the Near East Area, is to be appointed Vice President of the Cross Suez-Atlantic Unit.
It is expected that Rafi Ben -Ari will continue in his role as Vice President of the Shipping Unit, and in addition will be responsible for the Countries.
The program is due to take effect on March 1, 2016.
