Yusen Logistics to launch supply chain management IT platform Yusen Vantage globally

Yusen Logistics has announced the global launch of Yusen Vantage, a unified IT platform providing real-time tracking and supply chain management features that should be released in early December 2019. The platform is part of the company’s digital innovation program and investment in supply chain management initiatives outlined in Yusen’s vision ‘TRANSFORM 2025.’ Furthermore, the platform is a response to customer challenges including the rapid expansion of network sales; issues of fragmented visibility; cost pressures; data and inventory management; regulatory requirements; and geopolitical uncertainty.

Yusen Vantage consists of Yusen Vantage Focus, formerly known as YuTrack and available to all Yusen Logistics’ customers, and Yusen Vantage Performance, providing tracking capability that differs for registered to non-registered customers.

According to the company, Yusen Vantage Focus offers shipment tracking and real-time visibility of events and milestones across international freight forwarding shipments and is available to all Yusen Logistics’ customers. Yusen Vantage Performance allows all users in anonymous mode to search by air waybill number, house bill of lading number, or container number. Furthermore, users who are registered can have access to more features including:

  • Searching by identifier data including shipment number, departure or arrival date range, location, shipper, or consignee name.
  • Obtaining booking status, flight / vessel departure and arrival time, delivery order release status
  • Accessing and downloading key documents such as house bill of lading, house or direct air waybill, arrival notice, commercial invoice, packing list, proof of delivery. ​

Yusen Vantage Performance enables customers to pick from a suite of IT solutions, with major functions that include:

  • Shipments information, including location, events and exceptions, and mode of transport at each point of the process.
  • Supply chain information such as historical volume trends and KPIs displayed in functional dashboards.
  • Inventory level and value across a global network.
  • Planning and monitoring upstream supply chain activities from sourcing to order management.
  • Distribution Center delivery planning and scheduling.

According to Yusen, other supply chain management features can also be activated to support customers across industries including, retail, automotive, aerospace, and pharmaceutical industries.
