Yusen Logistics has commenced construction of a 6,300 sq m logistics facility in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Myanmar.

Located in the Yangon District, the facility will offer a range of temperature controlled storage areas (room temperature, 15-20°C, 5°C and -20°C). The site will also perform finished vehicle logistics, with services including vehicle storage, pre-delivery inspections, and customs procedures.

Yusen asserts that the facility can support customers in industries such as retail, automotive, electrical goods and food. Overall, services will include storage management, logistics processing, inspections, set temperature storage of chilled and frozen goods, and cross-border trade between Thailand and Myanmar.

The site is expected to become operational by July 2017.
