Yodel renews partnership with Scottish firm Menzies

Yodel has partnered with specialist sortation company Hexapole to install a new Small Parcel Sorter at its Shaw Sortation Centre in Oldham.

Yodel and the Scottish firm Menzies Distribution have renewed their partnership for a further five years, with a commitment to delivering more than 1.7m parcels per year to customers in Scotland.

For the past two years, Yodel and Menzies have been working together to reach a significant proportion of the Scottish population. The number of deliveries has grown steadily since the start of the partnership, and the two companies are confident of growing the volume further.

Menzies claims to be the leading neutral consolidator in Scotland, with a fleet of more than 190 vehicles. To serve its customers in Scotland, Yodel will receive a parcel from the retailer and sort it at one of its three hubs, before transferring it to Menzies to fulfil the final mile element of delivery.

Rick Southwood, Director of Operational Services at Yodel, said: “Menzies has unrivalled capability in delivering to difficult-to-reach places, and their growth and investment strategy is also aligned to our brand values, which made it an easy decision for us to renew the partnership. The relationship has gone from strength to strength, and we’re looking forward to seeing it continue to develop in the next few years.”
