As part of its ongoing development, Ti is now seeking an Analyst to join its Research team and help deliver the company’s strategic growth plan. Based at Ti’s global headquarters in Bath, the Analyst role sits within the company’s Research team, responsible for the ongoing production of market research products including reports, data tools, and GSCi, Ti’s logistics industry research hub.

Role Overview:
Ti is looking for an Analyst with strong quantitative and economic modelling skills. A key task within this role is the undertaking of market sizing tasks, making the ability to apply economic, finance, and quantitative principles to complex challenges essential. Candidates should also possess resilience and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to develop innovative solutions.

The Analyst will be a pivotal role in the Research team, providing a link between existing market understanding and the building of new knowledge. We are looking for someone who combines a good base of research skills with a natural inclination to ask questions and challenge established practice. Candidates should be highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and should expect to build strong relationships with clients and internally, generate product ideas and contribute to bespoke projects as part of the Ti Consulting offer.

The Analyst will…

  • Undertake market size and forecast modelling
  • Develop and support in-house model building as required
  • Test and validate models, presenting results with clear view of market and economic trends
  • Ensure all models are fully documented and conform to development standards
  • Analyse logistics service provider’s financial, operational and strategic data, and profile manufacturer and retailer distribution strategies
  • Provide information and insight into industry sector logistics trends
  • Publish Briefing notes for Ti’s Logistics Briefing news service
  • Undertake research for market reports and project work for Ti’s Consulting offer

You’ll need to have…

  • Degree level education – applicants with degrees in any subject will be considered, however experience in Mathematics, Economics and similar subjects are preferred
  • Previous experience in the provision of market sizing and the development of related methodologies
  • Attention to detail – our clients rely on and trust our data to be 100% accurate.
  • Enthusiasm/Team Work – Ti is a small, close knit team. You must be an enthusiastic and committed team player with a can-do attitude. You should be willing to tackle any task required and stay abreast of the latest industry developments.
  • Communication – analysts must be confident and effective communicators in order to share, discuss and analyse industry events both internally and externally.
  • Quick to learn – analysts can expect continuous opportunities to learn about the industry. The ability to engage with trends in the market is essential and development outside of office hours is encouraged.

Things we’d like to see but which aren’t essential…

  • Postgraduate qualification in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience of the logistics and supply chain industry, and/or a key related vertical sector such as retail/e-commerce, automotive, or FMCG
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ambition and the ability to advocate for change and influence decision-makers
  • Working proficiency of a European language would be a plus

Salary – £25-£28k per annum
