Unipart Logistics signed a contract with Selco Builders Warehouse, to run their end-to-end supply chain operations in the UK for the next five years.
With a centrally-located 1m sq ft distribution centre in Cowley, Oxford, Unipart will provide warehousing and distribution services, as well as store products and materials and deliver them daily on behalf of Selco, to Selco branches in dedicated, branded vehicles.
Geographically, Oxford is a central location for its entire branch network and means it can get requested stock into branches in a very short space of time. The warehouse space will able enable it to purchase products in greater quantity, savings which it hopes to pass on to its customers.
With updated supply chain innovations and digital technologies they are aiming to improve efficiency and stock availability for their customers; Unipart for Selco and Selco for its consumers.
