sennder has launched a new office in Bucharest, Romania, entering the market as the first digital freight forward provider in the region. With 11 offices across Europe, sennder continues its strategic expansion to increase its carrier network density. The new office in Bucharest adds to the company’s growing presence in Central and Eastern Europe with the Polish and Baltic offices.

With more than 90,000 drivers and 25,000 transport companies, Romania is one of the fastest-developing logistics markets in Europe and an essential gateway between Central and Eastern Europe. sennder has been a first mover in the region launching Poland in September 2019 and the Baltics in May 2020. Since then, the company has rapidly grown its presence, bringing its digital offering to increase efficiency and transparency in the region.

sennder’s operations in Romania are led by Bogdan-Gabriel Steliean. Steliean brings more than 10 years of logistics expertise to sennder’s leadership team from cargo partners, DHL Freight, and GEFCO Group. The company plans to further expand the team in Bucharest from currently 11 to 40 employees by the end of the year.
