SEGRO has announced that in January 2022, last-mile start-up Urb-It moved to SEGRO’s urban logistics space in Paris. Originating from Stockholm, Urb-it provides sustainable last-mile delivery services in urban locations across Europe. Couriers at Urb-it use environmentally friendly cargo bikes to deliver e-commerce packages to end customers.

The SEGRO urban logistics centre is located in the north-east of Paris in the immediate vicinity of Porte d’Aubervilliers. The centre includes space for urban logistics as well as social and office premises. According to SEGRO, its location makes it possibly to both optimize and facilitate supply flows as well as offer environment friendly delivery via soft and carbon-free mobility.

According to SEGRO, Urb-it chose its site due to its location, its design to allow zero-carbon urban distribution and its renewable energy supply. SEGRO reported that the start-up aligns with its mission of offering sustainable urban logistics for customers in Paris.

Managing Director of SEGRO France Laurence Giard said: “We are happy to welcome Urb-It to the Paris SEGRO Centre and to support its development strategy in France. As a historic player in urban logistics, SEGRO confirms its ability to offer flexible spaces dedicated to carbon-free logistics, serving the City and Parisians.”
