SEGRO leases almost 9,700 sq m to DHL

space

As a built-to-suit for DHL, SEGRO is building a regional last mile depot for letter and parcel delivery in SEGRO Airport Park Berlin. The building permit has been granted and construction work has already started. The location on the approximately 9,700 sq m plot is to be handed over in mid-2021.

“Since we have been working successfully with Deutsche Post DHL at various locations for many years, we know exactly what special requirements are placed on the space,” said Christina Schultz, Associate Director, Development, Light Industrial at SEGRO. DHL is already renting space from SEGRO in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Berlin.

Only recently, SEGRO announced the park expansion by around 33,000 sq m, which will be built speculatively. The first 15,000 sq m of this are already under construction. These areas will be ready for occupancy from October 2021. The focus remains on expanding the area in the SEGRO Airport Park Berlin to meet the strong demand.

The SEGRO Airport Park Berlin is located directly on the B 96a near the new capital city airport and offers an optimal connection to the motorway network through the A 113 and A 117.
