UK-based BJS Storage & Distribution Ltd has announced it plans to take delivery of fifty new curtainside trailers on a new contract hire deal with Ryder. The new tri-axle trailers are to be built by Montracon and are expected to replace older trailers in BJS’s existing 120 trailer general haulage fleet.
Richard Hall, director at BJS, said of the announcement, “As our business expands it is essential to have modern high specification equipment in the fleet to ensure we can always meet customer requirements”.
Robin White, Ryder’s sales and marketing director, added, “With one of the largest rental and contract hire trailer fleets in the UK, we are witnessing an increasing number of logistics firms and haulage contractors looking to partner with us on the supply of new trailers. This not only gives them access to the latest specifications and technology but also leading edge nationwide servicing, repair, and breakdown support.”
